Workshop II – Somatic Work with Grief

In this second offering on grief, I will invite people to notice what is happening in their bodies as we talk. Working somatically in this way, with body sensations, can help us become more aware of what we are feeling and of how we handle grief. By being present with ourselves, especially when held by others, we can see both what we are feeling and how it naturally shifts if we stay with it. Instead of being afraid or avoidant, we come home to ourselves. As we do this together, we can be more vulnerable and more compassionate with ourselves and others for how hard this can be. And we can learn that we don’t have to do this alone.
