Working our Spiritual Edge by Opening to Love

Another way to approach our spiritual edge is to open directly into our Essence. While this might seem straight forward, it often brings resistance and so gives us an opportunity to work an edge in a different way. For example, we can believe that we are love, divinely created and gifted with the possibility of being unconditionally loving beings.  But, if we say “I open to love,” it may seem easy, but usually what happens is we balk – either because of our personal history or because opening to Essence itself can be an overwhelming experience that brings fear with it and we hesitate. 

Participants will be invited to open into love and being with the body sensations that emerge. As just indicated, this may involve working with our personal history. Or, it may involve working with the overwhelm or fear that can arise during experiences of spiritual expansion. Our Essence is limitless and this is not a common experience for us. Many other responses are possible as well. Again, the invitation is to be present with what emerges, trusting that our process unfolds with a timing that is right in ways that are beyond our knowing.
