The Enneagram is a dynamic approach to self-understanding and growth. It gives us a lens through which we can see the hows and whys of what we do, how we get stuck and how we can grow, not just psychologically, but spiritually as well. It calls us into our best selves.
It describes 9 different Types, each a distinct approach to life. We have one dominant type throughout our lives. Each type has pronounced gifts, but also ways of being locked into patterns of reaction. By identifying our type, through an Introductory Day like this one, you can begin to recognize and work with the mainly unconscious drivers of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. With this growing awareness, you can begin to pause in what you do and have much more flexibility in how you respond to yourselves, in your relationships and to the challenges of life in general.
It is courageous work, because some of the things we learn are not comfortable. That said, looking at these truths and learning how to work with them is liberating, because we can grow!
This introductory workshop includes 3.5 hours of videos to watch ahead of time as well as a resource booklet. The videos include descriptions and explanation of each type as well as interviews with 2 people from each of the types. The belief in the Narrative Enneagram is that we learn best from each other, hearing each others’ experiences. And so, in addition to the interviews, the afternoon will include conversation and exploration together.
Cost: $75
As always, if cost is prohibitive, we can discuss a pay-what-you-can option. Please contact Sue to discuss further.
Any workshops being held at Strong Hollow have a suggested cost, but are offered as “pay what you can”. We do not want cost to be a reason to not attend.
