Workshop I – Exploring Our Relationship with Grief: A Beginning Conversation
November 11 @ 9:00 am - 12:30 pm EST$75
Grief is inevitable in our lives, especially in these times. The thing is that we are not good at feeling our grief. We numb to it keeping it comfortably in our unconscious. Or so we think. Like any blocked feeling, the grief is still there. Repressing it, unwittingly results in our feeling less alive. We lose touch with ourselves and can feel a bit empty. Counter-intuitively, feeling our grief makes us more alive, more in touch with ourselves and helps us be present in all that life has to offer, the joys and the sorrows. When we can do this together, better still. It builds honest and vulnerable connection and gives us a sense of being held in a caring world.
This first gathering will be primarily a facilitated conversation, where we can talk honestly, both about our reactions to a podcast I will send out and about how we personally relate to grief. The intent is that it be a gentle beginning for engaging with a difficult subject.
I have spent quite a bit of time with my web person trying without success to create a registration form that will allow you to choose one or more workshops in this series of 4. (WordPress has changed how they do it.) I will keep working on it, but until it is available, I am asking that you register by emailing me, Sue, at email@example.com Please indicate all of the 4 in the series that you know you want to participate in at this time. Thank you.
My apologies for the inconvenience.
Any workshops being held at Strong Hollow have a suggested cost, but are offered as “pay what you can”. We do not want cost to be a reason to not attend.
