SUMMARY:Enneagram: Three Centre Growth
DESCRIPTION:While we lead with one centre of intelligence\, if we are to grow into the fullness of who we are\, we need the other two centres.  Each centre has capacities\, but in and of itself is limited.  To be fully present in the moment\, we need all three operating. \nRiso and Hudson say it this way: \n“when our head centre is relaxed\, we have a quiet mind\, allowing impressions of what is here … we can have a fluidity and boundlessness in our thinking … in the deep internal stillness\, we can receive inner guidance and  guidance from God \n“when our heart centre is relaxed\, we experience the moment/ we taste its quality … the   heart loves the truth of what is happening\, we can connect and feel touched … this gives us a sense of identity and value and enables genuine connection with ourselves and others \n“when our body centre is relaxed\, we are present in the moment in our bodies … we are in a body having an experience … we are here and it is now … we are not in a pattern interpreting\, rather we are experiencing … when we are grounded\, we are not identified with what is happening\, but can feel present with objectivity and perspective and pause and be present and offer our gifts …” \nThis day will work with ways to open to your other centres and to begin to experience how they complement each other when we are grounded in the moment. \nCheck Tyndale website for more details and registration

SUMMARY:The Subtypes and Instincts in the Enneagram
DESCRIPTION:Please note that Friday evening is from 6:30-9; Saturday is from 9:30-4:30 and Sunday is from 1 to 5. \nLearning about Subtypes takes our understanding of Enneagram Types to a whole new level.  We come to see that there are three distinct versions of each type\, shaped by the basic instinct that is dominant in a person. \nWhat does this mean? We each have 3 primary survival instincts: self-preservation\, sexual (sometimes called one-on-one) and social. Each instinct is important to our survival.  One of these three is dominant in each of us.  It is this dominant instinct which has the biggest influence on how our type expresses itself in our lives.  So\, for example\, there are three 1s – a self-preservation 1\, a sexual 1 and a social 1.  Each is a Subtype. They are quite distinct\, but nonetheless clearly 1s. \nBea Chestnut has done a masterful job of explaining how the instincts create the subtypes and\, having studied with her\, we offer her perspective in our teaching.  It is brilliant. As an example\, as a sexual 5\, I (Sue)\, care more about connection and intimacy than the other 5s.  It is the dominant sexual instinct that makes my tendency to move into connection different than the other 5s. \nLearning about subtypes helps us know ourselves more deeply and again gives us important insight into the people in our lives.  We encourage you to join us. \nDuring the 2-day workshop\, we will cover the 27 types in a way that helps you have an embodied sense of these differences.  Some may come away with a deeper confidence in their type\, because the nuances are clearer. \n  \nRegister now.

DESCRIPTION:In this workshop\, you will learn about how the structure and patterns of the 9 Enneagram types affect relationships. It can be so helpful to understand your own Enneagram type\, how you show up in relationships\, what patterns you unconsciously have and how you react in situations. Added to this\, as you come to understand the other “types” and what happens to each in relationships\, there is opportunity to grow\, to work through areas of disagreement or conflict in new ways. You are given new insights\, perspectives and grow in compassion in learning the Enneagram and having an opportunity to hear from the lived experience of people in very different type structures than your own. You come to understand people in a new way. \nThe Enneagram is a dynamic tool for family and work relationships: living with spouses\, for parenting\, friendships\, dealing with bosses or co-workers\, being with people who trigger us. DESCRIPTION:Part of our commitment is to offering workshops that support you in the process of opening to your gifts through the Enneagram.  We are adding this workshop\, “3 Centre Growth\,” to the Inner Observer and Somatic Workshops we already offer.  While we lead with one centre of intelligence\, if we are to grow into the fullness of who we are\, we need the other two centres.  Each centre has capacities\, but in and of itself is limited.  To be fully present in the moment\, we need all three operating. \nRiso and Hudson say it this way \nwhen our head centre is relaxed\, we have a quiet mind\, allowing impressions of what is here … we can have a fluidity and boundlessness in our thinking … in the deep internal stillness\, we can receive inner guidance and  guidance from God \nwhen our heart centre is relaxed\, we experience the moment/ we taste its quality … the   heart loves the truth of what is happening\, we can connect and feel touched … this gives us a sense of identity and value and enables genuine connection with ourselves and others \nwhen our body centre is relaxed\, we are present in the moment in our bodies … we are in a body having an experience … we are here and it is now … we are not in a pattern interpreting\, rather we are experiencing … when we are grounded\, we are not identified with what is happening\, but can feel present with objectivity and perspective and pause and be present and offer our gifts … \nThis day will work with ways to open to your other centres and to begin to experience how they complement each other when we are grounded in the moment. \nRegister now.

DESCRIPTION:Each type has a defense mechanism that is the “enforcer\,” keeping the type going on automatic and off our screen of awareness. In this workshop\, we will explore the way you (unconsciously) protect yourself when you are triggered by fear or stress and create an idealized version of yourself to present to others. This defense keeps you functioning rigidly within the limits of your type. Working somatically with your defense mechanism loosens your structure\, giving you more choice\, allowing the true gifts of your type to be expressed more freely. DESCRIPTION:These 2 days involve working in a deeply sacred space with the often overlooked and neglected information our body offers us for our healing and growth.  By bringing our attention to our bodies and what they know\, we are able to make more conscious and constructive choices in our day to day lives\, less contracted within the lens of our Enneagram Type.
