DESCRIPTION:A 2-part ONLINE workshop on Resonant Voice \nResonant Voice I – online\, from 9-12 AM on Sunday\, January 30\, $50 \nResonant Voice II – online\, from 9-12 AM on Saturday\, February 26\, $50 \nWhat is Resonant Voice and Why Does it Matter\nHave you ever noticed that when you’re grounded\, truly grounded in a receptive stillness\, your voice has a different timbre/resonance/vibrational quality than when you’re chatting or connecting or being emotional. We speak more slowly and our voice has a deeper tonal quality when we are grounded.  We can almost detect the thoughtfulness\, the quiet responsiveness that is part of being grounded in our voices themselves. \nThe corollary is that when we are contracted in our Enneagram type\, our voices are tighter\, even thinner. Contracted\, we have limited access to the wisdom of each of our centres\, our head\, heart and belly.  And as important\, when we are contracted\, it is not possible to access the wisdom and gifts of our Essence\, our deepest Being. \nWe can work with this in a number of ways.  The quality of our voices can tell us whether or not we are grounded or contracted.  It is a clue.  It is a valuable part of learning to notice our contracted type in action.  And\, the quality of others’ voices tells us how contracted or open they are. \nSpeaking from a more grounded resonant voice effects the quality of our interactions with people.  For example\, if we want to be more open to a heart-centred connection\, we can move into a more open\, relational voice.  We can track our own reactivity\, by paying attention to the quality of our voice in a conversation.  If we sense we are contracting\, we can intentionally breathe\, slow down our speech and deepen the vibrational quality of our voices to help us move return to a more grounded place. \nAs we are able to be more grounded\, we can address our centres internally with the quieter\, more resonant voice and then receive the wisdom of each of our centres\, which helps us respond to issues we face or make the decisions we need to make.  This is a beautiful way to begin to appreciate the different kinds of wisdom we hold in our Beings.  And when we are able to live from an integrated place\, we can access the wisdom of our Being\, the deepest part of ourselves and be more open to hearing and responding through Divine guidance. \nResonant Voice Workshops I and II \nIn these two Resonant Voice Workshops\, we will explore how to  recognize the contracted and the grounded voices of each of our centres.  People will have an opportunity to experience the different resonances in their own body and to see how where we are speaking from affects our connection with ourself and with others.  We will explore how being more grounded and deeply resonant helps us access a different knowing than our day to day knowing.  There will be an opportunity to hear from the deeper knowing in each our centres in response to a question that matters to us\, something we all too rarely do.  As well\, opening to this depth within us enables us to be receptive to insights and guidance from the field of being\, from the spiritual reality within which we function. SUMMARY:Healing White Body Trauma in Whites
DESCRIPTION:Monthly for 4 months\, starting October (to be confirmed) \nSue will be offering small (6-8 people) 2-hour healing circles online as an accompaniment to the continuing “On Being White” offerings that Jill Varley and Sue will be hosting. \nIn My Grandmother’s Hands\, Resmaa Menakem\, a black psychotherapist\, talks about the trauma we whites of European heritage carry in our bodies – first\, the trauma of the violence our ancestors experienced that is carried in our energy and DNA – second\, the trauma of the violence we have historically and/or personally participated in.  He argues\, and I totally agree\, that we need to heal these traumas\, by definition held in our bodies\, in our bodies.  Without doing this\, without being present with the pain in a clean way\, we often unconsciously inflict our pain on others.  Healing in the body is necessary to our being more resilient\, open\, inclusive in our lives\, to our being able to take up “what is ours to do\,” in the areas of our lives where we feel called to act. \nThe circles will be opportunities to work somatically with what arises in us as we open to what needs to be healed for our highest good and the highest good of all.  The traumas we will focus on will relate to our whiteness (race)\, but we will likely encounter other of our origin stories as whites and we need to be open to all of these in the process. \nPlease contact Sue if you are interested.  The number of circles and the dates will be decided\, based on the level of interest. \nCost: $30 contribution each session\, or pay what you can

DESCRIPTION:Meeting monthly – likely Sept to Mar (day/time TBD) \nA small online group for those who want to teach or use the Enneagram in their professional lives. \nIn part\, the intent is to help us understand and move through some of the obstacles our types present in our work.  Also to appreciate and develop the gifts of our type; possibly considering the gifts our wings and resource points represent. \nIt will also be a forum for bringing questions and talking/walking through them together.  If there are topics participants want to explore\, we can design sessions to speak to those – either I would present or participants could present\, with supportive feedback from others. \nOur hope is that the group will become a resource for participants as they deepen their understanding of the Enneagram and come to trust each other in the safety of the circle. \nMonthly meeting\, for 6 months.   Cost: $50 for 2 hours. \nLikely starting in September\, but days and times to be decided\, depending on those interested. \nPlease contact Sue if you have an interest in being in this group.

DESCRIPTION:~~ NOTE: at this point this module will be online via Zoom ~~ \nWhile we lead with one centre of intelligence\, if we are to grow into the fullness of who we are\, we need the other two centres.  Each centre has capacities\, but in and of itself is limited.  To be fully present in the moment\, we need all three operating. \nRiso and Hudson say it this way: \n“when our head centre is relaxed\, we have a quiet mind\, allowing impressions of what is here … we can have a fluidity and boundlessness in our thinking … in the deep internal stillness\, we can receive inner guidance and  guidance from God \n“when our heart centre is relaxed\, we experience the moment/ we taste its quality … the   heart loves the truth of what is happening\, we can connect and feel touched … this gives us a sense of identity and value and enables genuine connection with ourselves and others \n“when our body centre is relaxed\, we are present in the moment in our bodies … we are in a body having an experience … we are here and it is now … we are not in a pattern interpreting\, rather we are experiencing … when we are grounded\, we are not identified with what is happening\, but can feel present with objectivity and perspective and pause and be present and offer our gifts …” \nThis day will work with ways to open to your other centres and to begin to experience how they complement each other when we are grounded in the moment. \nSee details for registration on Tyndale website

SUMMARY:Embodying our Connection to the Earth
DESCRIPTION:Online with Sue ~~\nSaturday\, May 8: 9 – 11am\nThis will be a time for exploring our connection to the earth\, for some\, increasingly a very real presence in our lives\, including a growing element in our spiritual journey. \nOur connection to her can be elusive\, for any of a number of reasons. For some of us\, being grounded and appreciative of our body and its wisdom is a relatively new experience.  Its place\, and through it our connection to the earth\, is slowly being revealed. This contrasts with some spiritual teachings and with the dominant paradigm in the west\, where we have been taught to see the earth purely in economic and extractive terms\, not as part of a mutual caring and nurturing relationship. \nAs well\, as we step more consciously into this relationship\, we can fear her power and the enormity of the experience of being open to her.  Much like when we open to the night sky\, we can feel small and vulnerable.  Opening to the natural world can be similarly overwhelming or intense – and as full of awe as any other profound spiritual experience. \nMy hope is that this will be the beginning of a series of offerings that\, when possible\, will happen in person\, here on the land over  a day or two. \nCost: $30 (or pay what you can) \nRegister now.
